Does anyone know what a woollen Winder was back in 1870’s please ?

I’ve just come across a child whose job was a Woollen Winder in the 1870’s but when I search I keep getting the umbrella like contraption used to wind wool into balls in the home environment. If anyone knows I’d be most greatful.

Thank you

If you go down to where it says winder, it gives you the description.
It’s basically an industrial version of the home winder you found.

Brilliant thank you, I presume the child was employed to keep this machine running smoothly. 8 years old and running a machine like that must have been Scary to say the least.

Also thank you for the link I’ve saved it in my bookmarks for later use.
