Macedonian Mule Corps WO 405/1 Remerks

Thanks for everyone's help as I was able to locate the finality of my great grandfather's WWI service records from his time in the Macedonian Mule Corps.

However, in record WO 405/1 there are "remerks" that I am unsure of what they mean. One of them is crossed out.

His name is Arghyros (spelled Argiros) Loizou Serghis with Regiment number 9306.

I would appreciate anyone's help.

I can't see anything crossed out.
OK are you referring to "C" ?

Yes. The C appears to be crossed out. I am not sure if the other letter is a lower case F.

I think it's a capital "c"
Unfortunately it's something peculiar to the local office clerk
for purposes of medal disposal.

I think it is a lower case b. Look at the b in by in the notes about a medal above.

It could be a lower case b. It does seem to be peculiar. That's for sure.

It is similar to the way I write a b. Also , if you go through the list of names you will see other instances of it.
