Hi

I'm so excited that there is a connection to my great uncle Irvin (who I never met, but who my dad often talked about).  I often drive by the old house on Knotty Lane - just for sentimental reasons.  When my grandma talked, suffering from dementia, she always asked if she was going back to Knotty Lane.

This is all so special to me.

Kindest regards
Cath

Hi Frank

I have photos of Irvin Lockwood as a boy and young man, also of his 2 sisters (Hilda and Sarah Ellen) and a family tree showing previous generations. When his wife, Beatrice, died her spinster sister Ada was living at the house on Knoty Lane. I would love to share this information.

Kind regards, Cath

Here are some photos of Irvin Lockwood - the first one is taken outside the house on Knotty Lane.  Hopefully they are of interest to Frank, who was hoping to find Irvin!

How interesting - I wonder if anyone one knows what the medal type thing he's wearing in the first two photos is ?

It is a watch fob, common to men at the time who wore a waistcoat and had a fob watch in one of the pockets. It is impossible to say what the motif / design might be.

Hello Carol
I am hoping you can help me to find Frank?
He has messaged me privately saying he was away but would contact me again  when he got back home. However, that was back early November. And I haven't heard from him since. Do you know of any way I can contact him? I think he's in Yorkshire. I'd really love to be in touch with him.
Please let me know if you can help - I'd be very grateful for anything.
Very kind regards
Cath
