My Uncle George was shot in both feet in Dunkirk. He lived to be 103 years old.

Thanks for all these marvellous stories of ancestors serving at Dunkirk. It is bittersweet to think of this event , but at least we won !. We should all be proud of everyone who sacrificed everything for there Country. Amen.

My Father now long deceased was at Dunkirk. Taken from the beaches at La Panne, Member of the BEF and the Northamptonshire Regiment.
I heard some of the stories of his escape, but he passed away before my interest in it became stronger.
Oh, how I would love 24 hours of his time now.

I have all the details of the Northamptons at Dunkirk and beyond...
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.
