hi I'm looking for a bit of help as i have found a bit of a wall but i have no knowledge of this area.
I'm looking to try and trace a Margaret Macphee  and her husband James Grant Kennedy. i can not find her birth on Scotland's people but i did wonder about spelling variants. here is what i have on this couple at the moment Margaret was meant to be born in Dallas moray about 1934/1935 but cant find it she then married James grant Kennedy 8 Oct 1960 at Dallas and she died 2018 nairn.
James grant Kennedy was born 2 Sept 1934 and died 11 Jan 2002.
this all the info i have for any of them as even their parents is proving hard to find also James has only a mother listed on his marriage cert i am waiting for his birth cert to be delivered.
thank you for any help on this matter hope i also posted in the right place

What are Margaret’s parents names on the 1960 marriage certificate? And what was her father’s occupation? Were the parents alive or dead on that date? (It will say “dcd” after their names if dead.).

Her 2018 death reg on SP shows her mothers maiden name as MacPhee suggesting she may have been illegitimate

Are you assuming she was b Nairn because she married & died there or do you have other info that confirms she was b there?

Did they have any children who are still alive & could be contacted for info?

Possible death for Williamina MacPhee 1971 aged 71 in Elgin 135/342.

3 possible deaths for John MacPhee 1979 aged 81 Elgin 280/358; 1971 aged 74 Elgin 135/341 & John Duncan McPhee 1985 aged 80 Elgin 280/193.

Likely marriage between John & Williamina 1924 in Bower 034/4. Bower is near Wick, Caithness.

How sure are you that Margaret MacPhee was born in Morayshire? (There are a number of possible births up around Caithness).

The McPhees were well known travelling people in Scotland. Based from Aberdeenshire to Caithness.

There is a birth for a Williamina McPhee in Alness, Easter Ross in 1900 which might be worth looking at.

Good luck with your search.
