Yes Monica, that looks very likely.  The 31 July 1873 Maryhill death record for Anne Gaughan, widow of Patrick Gaughan, was attended by my ggrandmother Susan Neilan.  So, a burial 2 August 1973 sounds correct.

May I ask how to find the lair burial record?

Thanks very much.

Monica, all suggestions welcome on how to locate the lair in the cemetery.  I'm planning a visit to Glasgow mid-May and will visit the cemetery.

The indexed info in the Roman Catholic deaths and burials for your lady on Scotlands people says she was buried at St Peter's Dalbeth Cemetery.  Having done a search of Rootschat for "Dalbeth", there are quite a few posts about this cemetery and the general conclusion is that contacting the Diocese is a likely route to find the info you want if you give them the name and date of burial.

The 31 July 1873 Maryhill death record for Anne Gaughan, widow of Patrick Gaughan, was attended by my ggrandmother Susan Neilan.

Her age on death is a bit down from the 1871 census, when she was 46, living at 50 Bridge Street.
And that can't be right as you have her marriage to Patrick in 1830 in Ireland.
The index on SP for Patrick's death in 1864 says he was 96 ???

I agree ages are difficult to explain, but the 1873 death record for Ann is definitely my ancestor, since address on Bridge Street coincides with her earlier census data; earlier birth record for son William,  and because her daughter attended her death, giving correct address for daughter's residence at time of death and other identifying information.  Patrick's ages have been all over the place.  Their 1830 marriage record in Ireland is only a register entry and no ages were given.
