Maggsie oh right sorrrrrrryyyyyyy  my misunderstanding. SooJeramiah   on the marriage cert. Born 1824 could be the brother of the Richard Gavin b1826  !!!!  that I'm researching .
Does this sound feasible  ?

Maggsie  please can I ask another favour,   

1)  I can't quite make out who Jeramiah  married on wedding certificate

2)  what was Jeramiah's profession? On wedding certificate

3) you say they  went to Canada do you know if I could find anything out about them in Canada?

Letitia, 17 born Jamaica
Maria 13 born Quebec
William 11 born Ontario
Richard J 9 born Ontario

Jane Gavin (nee Plewman) died 11 July 1880 Carleton, Ontario
Jeremiah married again in 1884

1881 census for Ottawa City Canada
Jeremiah Gavin 57, Irish, widowed, caretaker
Children with him: Maria Gavin 22, Wm George Gavin 19, B Thomas Gavin 17
