Re: ancestry - Derbyshire marriage lookup request ---> amended to Belper

I'm wondering if the 1860 marriage is the wrong couple...
Does anyone have access to marriage info re the William Holmes and Sarah Pearson whose marriage was registered in Belper Q4 1847 ?
Thanks

You seem to have access to Ancestry, so you will be able to see the images from there

Search in this database

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/61409/

ADDED:
or alternatively, as jonw65 says, these images are available free on Family Search (an account is free and easy to set up)
once logged in you can use the search here:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1911752

As there were 4 couples on that GRO  ref no, use just one name to search and you can see who married who

Maybe we could help more if we knew what info you have that is certain.  :) Presumably you have a child born with family name HOLMES and mother's maiden name PEARSON. Do you have them on a census, or a marriage record for them, or some other details?

Downloadable here

Could you tell me how you get to that view of the image which has the download arrow which actually works - if I go through the image link from the index it takes me here
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-DY8Q-3FL?cc=1911752
where the download button isn't active...

Hi
From there, copy the film number (4454128)
Click on images, which takes you here
https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/beta

Click "More Options"
Paste that film number into the Image Group Number (DGS) box, and hit search
Gets you this
https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/beta/search-results?imageGroupNumbers=4454128

It used to be easier, you could just put in the same image number, now you have to select one of the items on the film.
Which is Item 2, marriages Feb 1860 - Aug 1863
From there, you can find your image!
John

Regarding the couple married in 1860, if Sarah was b. 1838 Kings Newton, Melbourne and William 1841 in Brailsford they appear to be in Hollington in 1861, no children with them at this stage.

Although this William was not of full age when married.
