Ann Saunders born c1826 St George's
« on: Monday 10 April 23 20:46 BST (UK) »
Looking for her baptism and parents.
Also her marriage to Frederick Carter, which would help me find her father and maybe then her baptism. Assuming this is in 1840s as their first child David is born c1844 in Marylebone.
Thanks.

CARTER, ANNE  SOPHIA
Mother's Maiden Surname: SAUNDERS
GRO Reference: 1847  J Quarter in MARYLEBONE  Volume 01  Page 267

Baptized in Paddington, parents Frederick William (a carpenter) and Ann.
Seems to have died in 1849.

There is a Frederick Carter, 15, Carpenter, in Marylebone in 1841
With William Carter, 50, Carpenter, and Geo Carter, 12

Possible baptism in Marylebone, 22 May 1825
Frederick
Son of William + Sophia Carter
Caroline Place
Father Carpenter
Born 18 April

Would make him a couple of years younger than he says in 1851

*George Henry son of William (a carpenter) + Sophia Carter baptized there in 1829

So is that 1844 F W Carter - Ann Mason marriage in Paddington of any relevance?
Fits well enough, except for Ann's surname!

Trying to pin down John and Ann before 1861
In Marylebone in 1841 there is even a John Saunders, 45, Hair Dresser!
With him are Ann Saunders, 35, and Fanny Saunders, 6. Only Fanny born in Middlesex.

Doubtless there will be other possibilities!
