Henry Alexander Scott
« on: Monday 17 April 23 04:21 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, looking for info on this guy please, I don't have a lot to go on I don't have any membership to any of the genealogy sites at the moment.
Henry Alexander Scott
Birth 30 June 1901
I know he was in the navy
After any info on his life, including the navy (ships. etc) also I am trying to find out if he spent any time in New Zealand between 1925-1928 as my father-in-law, who is still alive and around 96 years of age, he was conceived probably around 1926/1927 I believe he may be my father-in-laws father or just another wishful chance on my part. His daughter has a DNA match at 555cm to a guy on her fathers paternal side and the match to her would possibly be a half nephew to her father.

Any help is very much appreciated and thanks in Advance

There is another service record commencing in May1929 and ending 31 Dec 1940. none of these entries show a NZ connection.

The two ships Diomedes and Dunedin seem to have been on a big tour of the country.
Search papers past.  Eg.   https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/SUNAK19270909.2.31?end_date=31-08-1928&items_per_page=10&phrase=2&query=“H.m.s.+Dunedin”+scott&snippet=true&start_date=01-01-1926
