Finding.......Betty Smith

Hello there

Betty Langman was born in 1919 at Rose Bay.  She was daughter of Christopher Thomas Langman and Janet, nee Wornham.  She married in 1939 to Jack Alexander Smith (1916-1976), but seems to have disappeared from records by 1972.  She used to live at 106 Onslow Street, Rose Bay, but was not registered with Jack Smith in 1972 when he lived at 54 Dover Street, Rose Bay.
Did she pre-decease her husband, or did she re-marry and live on?

She is not mentioned in Jack Alexander SMITH's death notice, as either living or already deceased. Children and  grandchildren are mentioned.

Thanks for finding a related death notice.  1963 is the last Electoral Roll I can locate with Jack & Betty Smith at the same address.  I can find no death entry or re-marriage for Betty up to the cut-off date on the NSW BMD site.

For interest - 54 Dover Rd, Rose Bay was the address of a Doris Elizabeth SMITH (widow) who died 14 Jan 1971 - probate advertised in 1971 to Jack Alexander SMITH and another person as executors.

Doris, mother of Jack.  54 Dover was her residence, he moved in by 1972, he formally lived at 106 Onslow which originally belonged to Betty's parents.
