Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Pvt George Gray - Royal Army Medical Corps - service no 117881 -  died 5/1/1918 - buried All Saints Cemetery Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Research shows he is buried at All Saints, the Commission are in the process of producing a headstone for mark his grave.

If you are related or know of someone who is, CWGC would like to hear from you.

So its possible that George Gray regimental number 117881 died in Manchester, according to the registers of soldiers effects , and his next of Kin is his father George

Hes registered to vote in 1914 at the address JenB has given for his obituary , it was connected to Brown Jug
in 1911 there is a George Gray resident at 25 Brown Jug Lane,
in the 1911 census down as boarders
George Gray aged 48 years a cleaner at Watsons, born Newcastle
Sarah aged 49, born st Ann Newcastle
Frances aged 17, daughter,
George aged 27, son, labourer at Wallsend slipway,
Hugh aged 12,son
Thomas aged 9
married 29 years,
11 children born 5 have died

His age at death on Lancashire BMD is 32,1918, East Manchester, reference, EM/2/119

Perhaps look for descendants of his younger brother
Hugh Percy Ridley Gray , born 22nd December 1898 ,died Newcastle Upon Tyne 1959 , married Annie Harran, and had a family Catherine. Haran Gray who died 1997married name Banks, , Sarah Ann who died in 2002 married name Whittingham ,George died 1946
