Nellie Mary Roberts help please.

Evening everyone.

My wife and I seem to be a bit stuck finding her great aunt, Nellie Mary Roberts. We can only find her in the 1891/01/11 census. No trace of her in any BMD or 1921 or 1939.

According to the 1891, shes at Back Madoc Street, Llandudno with parents Robert and Harriet. 1901 shes at 128, Mostyn Street, Llandudno and finally in 1911 shes at Brookes Street, Llandudno.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we find it a bit odd, that theres no trace in any BMDs.

No birthyear given - 1901 shows her as Nelly b 1887 but 1891 & 1911  shows birthyear 1889

What was Harriet's maiden name?

Nelly/Nellie  can often be a corruption of Ellen/Eleanor.  Have you checked GRO online for her birth using Harriet's maiden name & just surname Roberts

Possibly Ellin Mary Roberts Dec 1887 Carnarvon mothers name Jones but not certain 

Sister Catherine Mary Sep 1884 Conway has mothers name Jones

I looked on FreeBMD and this is the only marriage that fits the name offered -15 years before birth:

Jane Goodman or  Harriet Griffiths
John David Jones or Richard Roberts or Robert Roberts

1881 Robert is married to 'Catherine' with children Elizabeth, Owen & Joseph also stepson Alfred Fenton.

There are 2 possible marriages after 1886

1887 to Harriet Matthews - Wrexham
1890 - Harriet Roberts - Llanrwst

If it’s the 1890 marriage then Nellie was born beforehand so may possibly have been illegit or Harriet was previously married??

Thanks everyone. Only just seeing this now, so sorry for the delay. The problem we've had is, that we're dealing with common surnames, theres a multitude of options for ordering certificates. We havent ordered anything as we're not 100% confident its the right one.
