Surrey-ish
« on: Thursday 20 April 23 05:29 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone

This much I can establish......Frank Robinson died 4th February 1949 at the District Hospital, Chelmsford, his address was 65 Swiss Avenue, Chelmsford.  He was born in 1877, married in 1903 and at his death he left a widow (Alice, nee Parkes born 1877) and 4 living children, Violet (1904), Florence (1905/1906), Gladys (1907/1908) and Richard Frederick (1913-1996), another son Stanley John died during WWII (in 1941).

I am having difficulty tracing the widow and the three daughters.  Violet & Gladys were unmarried in 1939, Florence maybe.....maybe not.  Is there any easy fix?

Thanks for reading.

1939 does not show any name changes for Violet and Gladys

There are an awful lot of Gladys & Violet Robinsons who died after 1949

Chelmsford is in Essex.

A more likely death is Chelmsford 1947.  (frank born 1876)
Burial at Terling, All Saints, 27 May 1947.

You can view that burial for £3.50. https://www.essexarchivesonline.co.uk//ancestry.aspx?id=1396794

Did you pay the money?
Is it the right Frank?
If so, What is his “Abode”?

I can't justify the expense.  I based his 65 Swiss Avenue, Chelmsford address on the 1949 Find A Will result, and my ignorance of English counties.  The only "real" known was from 1939 which suggests he was born 1876 and living in Wanstead and Woodford, Essex, England with his wife and children, minus daughter Florence.
He is not in my direct line, collateral and an infuriating challenge! ;D

Thank you so very much, a middle name can make all the difference.  I had a birth date for Violet that corresponds, now I have all the children's dates.  I am so pleased.  Thank you.
