Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Pvt James Hood Neill - Northumberland Fusiliers - service no 51068 - died 16/6/1917 - buried All Saints Cemetery. Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Recent research has shown that Pvt Neill is buried here.  The Commission are in the process of producing a headstone to mark his grave.

Photo (newspaper article) added to entry - by our Rootschatter River Tyne Lass - Rather sad - Private 50168, 3rd Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers. Husband of Margaret Ann Neill, of 112 City Road, Newcastle. He was called up for military service on 1 Jun 1917, but took his own life in a field near Boldon Colliery.
