Thomas Salt the carrier of St. Neots seems to have died in 1837. There is a burial at St. Neots (I don't have the details), age 50.

Newspaper notices about his business and estate.
Free OCR text gives us some idea, i.e.

4 February 1837
THE Public are respectfully informed, that the CARRIERS BUSINESS from ST. NEOTS to LONDON,.... the late Mr. Thomas Salt, of St. Neots, is CONTINUED ON AS USUAL, for the benefit of the family.

15 April 1837
The late THOMAS SALTS Affairs. ALL Persons having any claim or demand upon the Estate of the late THOMAS SALT, waggoner, of St. Neots, are requested to deliver in the same to Sarah, daughter of the said Thomas Salt, upon the premises.

Also on 4 Feb 1837, there is a death announcement in the Cambridgeshire papers
Mangled up free ocr text, something like
Thursday last, Mr. Thomas Salt, waggoner from St. Neots, leaving four orphan children to lament their loss

The other Thomas Salt, the one who died in 1845 ,was buried at Everton cum Tetworth. Age 65.

The 1841 has a 20yr old Sarah Salt living in St Neots

Yes - I think she died along with her baby Margaret in childbirth  :-[
