Fold3 is part of Ancestry and a separate subscription site holding military records for the UK and other countries:

It holds x2 things of interest to British family historians and the rest is 99.99999r US stuff that is of no interest. Likewise the detritus contained in the irritating spam emails once you sign up.

If you need access to the pension records or RA tracer cards wait for a free week from Fold3. I suspect the next will be July 4th!
One more charge and then be dumb,

May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

thank you for finding all that out. Boy they got around. I don't think that I will ever find him in the UK, at that rate.

July 1856 to Aug 1857.

The regimental history books will give you exact locations

Another possibility is the George Story who was a civilian clerk on the depot staff of the Army's "Northern District" in 1851 per the army index. In Newry around the time of the 1851 census.

I have managed to get help into findmypast, and find that, the George Story's are all birth in England. There is one that stands out in the 1851 Census being in Bermuda.  It dosen't state were she is born, but most of the info fits.
