Mollie Madgalen Ware - birth

Hello all,
I had no luck looking on the Dublin forum - most likely my fault but I was wondering if anyone is researching Mollie's family - she came to Australia and married one of my ancestors who I have lots of info. on. (Richard Gordon Esse).
We would like to try and find Mollie's parents and maybe any siblings - a long shot but if I don't try, I will never know.

Hello,

Do you know if she was definitely born in Dublin?
Does her marriage give her father’s name?
Do you have her immigration records?

As you say, searches come up as Weir, so that might well be her birth surname. Irish genealogy indexes don’t show a second name so you have to look at each record to see that.

Hi Heywood,

Thanks for your reply.  I do not have her marriage certificate yet. From her death information her father's name was John, no mother mentioned..  I am waiting on another family researcher to let me know if he has a copy of either the marriage or death certificates.  I guess I will just have to be patient which I'm not that good at.

Her given name would have been Mary, especially with the use of Magdalene as a middle name. As others have indicated, the Irish indexes don't show middle names so you'd have to check every Mary Ware/Weir born in the years surrounding when she would have been born.  Better that you obtain the marriage record which seems to be easily obtainable to provide more clues.

When you do get her marriage record, there are three John Ware entries in the 1920 NSW directory:
