Hi,

It looks like they found out who that woman was, but maybe it was after she was buried,

His death wasn't registered till the following year. 🤔
This is still the case with suspicious deaths, as registration has to await one or more of investigation, inquest, and trial. In such cases therefore, death and calculated birth dates on FreeBMD, Ancestrty, etc. are wrong.

Daisy Petal.

What date was that.  It matches in some respects but  the injuries don't sound as serious .
Mind you,  were inquests so thorough back then.?

This must be her memorial on Find A Grave:
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/202965861/female-adult-unknown

When the dust settles on this thread, perhaps someone would like to submit an edit with her name, and also a bio. Explain in the bio how she is recorded in the onine register.

In andwer to an earlier remark: A death certificate is not essential for a burial; the coroner will authorise it in circumstances such as these.

Really?, found out something I never knew before that a death cert is not needed for a burial.

Thank you all for being so busy in solving the case of the unknown woman. I've learned something new about burials.

Searching the online burial records I also discovered (by accident) several "A.N. Other" listed burials - heaven knows who they were!

Thanks again and best wishes.
