Chaffetteur? any ideas COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 23 April 23 09:15 BST (UK) »
Can anyone make out the occupation of the father on this baptism record from 1884 please? His burial record says 'chaffeutter' but is this right (can't find it on a list of old occupations). He was an ag lab in 1871 and a stableman in 1881..... thanks :)

Looking purely at the letter formation compared to the rest of the certificate, I would have said Chaff cutter.

Chaff cutter for me, also.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
