Scanned copy of Cardington PRs up to 1812 available online....

https://archive.org/details/bedfordshirepari08bedf

The excellent Steve Gibbs database that you've already been told about has transcribed PRs for Cardington from 1813 to 1837 & then 1837 to 1901

The Beds FHS have a Surname Index from the PRs available from their website....

John -- thank you so much for the links and the information.

This family have been such hard work for me, with not knowing the area. Also some place names appear to have changed -- Wilshamstead - now seems to be Wilsted. Hawnes - currently seems to be Haynes.

Very frustrating - but I am getting a geography lesson as well!

I have bookmarked the sites you have kindly provided.

Many thanks again.

Just thought I would give feedback to all of you who have so kindly helped me with my query about Bedfordshire records.

Thanks to the websites you told me about (and the IGI - which I had completely forgotten about!!) - I have been able to find records --- and therefore evidence, to make progress with this family tree.

I was completely stuck before and I am really grateful to you all. Thank you so much.
