Hi

Thanks for all the marvellous research

I think I can understand why John's family tree is a bit confusing now

If you could possibly find his father's parents it would be great as my son is a ancestry DNA match and as is my cousin

We think it goes back to a ancestor from Whitchurch herefordshire in the 1830's ???

Best wishes Phil

And thanks again

Going back to the 1939 just incase.

At the same address are
William H Rees b 1874
Mary H Rees b 1888
William E Rees Greengrocer’s roundsman b Feb 1915
Mary Lewis Widow b 1865

REES, WILLIAM  EDGAR     LEWIS
GRO Reference: 1915  M Quarter in CARDIFF  Volume 11A  Page 766

Possible marriage William H Rees & Mary E (Ellen/Helen) Lewis Cardiff 1914.

Think Mary Ellen and Mary from that are this family

William Lewis, labourer / fisherman born Marloes ? Pembrokeshire  c 1854. Died before 1901 census after 1895
Mary nee MATHIAS. Born about 1865/66  Johnston/Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
I cannot find her in 1911 or 1921. She is a widow, Roath St Saviour, Cardiff in 1901.

Their children
All born Haverfordwest except the last.

John Henry  born 4th qtr 1886  bapt 5h Dec  With his mother in 1901, cannot find after
Mary Ellen  born 1888 in 1911 she is a domestic servant.  Can be found 1921.
Edith Ann born 1890 with mother in 1901 cannot find after
Florence May born 1895 with Mother cannot find after

William Thomas  Born about 1900 Cardiff. He is 8 months old With mother in 1901.  then where

Surely, since in same household in 1939 William Thomas  born 1911 is somehow connected to the two Marys.
