Anyway to determine an actual date of death in Leicestershire, online resources suggest a year.

Julia Haldan, died 1943 at Melton Mowbray
Albert John Haldan, died 1962 at Market Bosworth.

Can’t see a notice of death in papers.
(But there is a report of Albert John Haldan of Wilton Terrace, Melton, charged with frequenting a betting house in 1946).

It's a fairly safe bet that he died in the latter part of December 1962.
