My Great Aunt Marie Alicia Snell b 7 Feb 1888 St Pancras London.
Her father was William Henry Snell b 1855 Hatherleigh Devon,
Her mother was Alice Palmer Davey b 1856 London
married Simon Mayer, b 19 Dec 1878 Ulm Germany,  in Buenos Aires on 8 Nov 1920....

I found a baptism registration for Wilhelm Heinrich Snell b 5 Dec 1909, and baptised 9 Dec 1909

I know its easy to jump to conclusions and this COULD be coincidence but I cant read the details of the German hand writing on the page, I cannot read the name of what i think is a witness (google translate!) somebody Snell from ? London.
It looks possible my great Aunt had an illegitimate child in Germany. I would be very grateful if anyone can find anything else on this child that would verify whether he belongs in my family or not.
I have never found Marie on the 1911 Census in the UK, I am wondering if this is why... was she in Germany then?

Maria Alicia is described as ledige, which is single. the witness is Heinrich (Henry)Snell unreadable word possibly "kaufermann"  occupation meaning merchant or business man,  of London.

Thank you. Not unlikely that William Henry would call himself Henry Snell perhaps, under the circumstances, he was always William Snell in the UK, he was a merchant, can you read the word before London?

I could find no further information on this person, if he was adopted then I imagine his name would have been changed.
Is there any birth record? I couldn't find one, but I am not good at searching foreign language records.

I think the word before London is Kaufermann.
