Hi
Sorry for the delay just got home from Yorkshire.
Thank you very much for the information. The marriage cert has arrived and Henry West did marry Catherine Condon in 1878. His father Edward West has died in 1856 with a brain tumour but he doesn't state he was deceased. And I also now have birth cert of Henry's younger sister Caroline born 18 Jan 1857 and it's not stated on that cert that her father Edward had died 21 Sept t1856.
Henry's older sister Kezia 1st married in 1872 to George Markwick and she doesn't state that her father Edward was deceased..... but her second marriage in 1896 she does state he is deceased so I'm beginning to wonder of the death of Edward West is the right one!!!
The Workhouse admissions are very interesting can you tell me what site you found them as looks on f********t and can't find them!!!
Many thanks for your help
