Joseph Thomas Perkins which Annie did he marry ? COMPLETED

Joseph Thomas Perkins born in Shepshed in 1876 to James & Elizabeth Perkins.   He married April-June 1900 registered in Loughborough.   However I’m struggling to work out if he married Annie Corah or Annie Lovett?   

Any suggestions please ?

He married Annie Corah; Annie is widowed by the 1911 census, at which time she was living with her brother Thomas Corah and her son Joseph Sidney Perkins.

Now to add a extra part in.

   Verbal family history says that Joseph Thomas Perkins emigrated to Canada at a similar time to his elder sister Margaret Adkin and  her family.

I’ve found Thomas living in Shepshed in 1901 with Annie

Then I’ve found details
Of him and Margaret’s husband William Adkin on a passenger/immigration list in April 1908 going to Canada.


Then in September 1908 I’ve found Margaret Adkin and her two children plus Annie Perkins and Joseph Perkins aged 1 on another ship list.

It looks like something happened to Joseph Thomas in Canada and Annie returned home to England to live with her brother.    Thank you for finding this out for me or I would’ve presumed they remained over there.   I will try and find a death entry for Joseph Thomas Perkins either in Canada or England.

There is a person of this name on Ancestry who has a photo of Joseph Thomas Perkins, but it's private.

That’s the area we were told they went to.  William Adkin was a farm manager in Loughborough before emigrating I believe they were given a plot of land in Canada.   I think Joseph worked as a Drapers assistant in 1901.  Although the ship log had him listed as a farmer.  Although I’m
Guessing this was a white lie to enable him to go to Canada with his sister and brother in law.  It’s seems very feasible
That this death record you’ve found is the Joseph in question.  If so how sad that they were trying to build a new life in Canada and then Annie and Joseph Jr had to return to England.  Thanks for your help

I think family members have mentioned a Laurie Perkins as being one of the Canadian relatives who made contact many years ago.
