If you already have a basic Y-DNA haplogroup from a 23andme, LivingDNA test, or from a predictor tool with Ancestry, you can put it into the FamilyTreeDNA Discovery tool, which will give you some interesting timelines, maps, ancient and more modern connections, and also, quite usefully, FTDNA groups where your specific haplogroup is most commonly found amongst those tested - the caveat being of course, that to be part of the groups, you have to purchase a FTDNA Y-DNA test
