RAF Group Information Sought Please

Could anyone give me any information on this group photo please. The name of the dog would be helpful  :P ;D ;D

Since they are all, with one exception, young airmen I would suggest they are recruits undergoing basic training during National Service. The man with the dog (whose name is Rover) is the only NCO so possibly their instructor. Note also the man in the centre of second row from the back is in what appears to be a pullover, possibly because he hadn't yet been issued with his service dress.  They look too old to be Air Cadets.

The buildings behind look distinctly civilian.

RAF basic training in Blackpool (or Morcombe) during WW2.
The Sidecap was replaced by the Service Dress Cap (with peak) about 1952.

The Sharp/Steggles post card has Plymouth, Torquay & Newquay on the back.
RAF Babbacombe (near Torquay) was another WW2 training centre where recruits (Officer Cadets) were billeted in seaside hotels.
