Bryanna Poe died 18-Jan-1861, as per will calendar entry -grandmother of Francis Despard.

Charlotte Ida L Despard in 1911 Irish census with her father and siblings.
House 34 in Mountpleasant Square (Rathmines & Rathgar East, Dublin).

It occurs to me that all of this may be wasted effort - OP only asked about police records. May not be interested in the family history as such at all??

Thank you everyone for the extensive research on both these people.I did think a head constable was a high up official,thanks for clearing that up.They were work colleges and I think they both were in Clare and Limerick.I will follow up on the clues you have given me.You are all very good,thank you for your time,tom
