Horner DELLER - 1845
« on: Tuesday 02 May 23 00:35 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I hoping someone may be able to help me locate the civil death record for Horner DELLER who was buried in Kingston, Cambridgeshire on 28th July 1845.
I have him in the 1841 census and have been able to locate his burial record on both FamilySearch (where he is recorded 3 times under slightly different first names) - as 'Henry', 'Horny' and 'Herny' DELLER.
FindMyPast records his burial under the name 'Henry' DELLER.
What I am unable to find, however, is a civil death record which, given the year, I thought I should be able to locate. I have tried many variations of both first and last name with no success.
I would be very grateful if someone was able to assist or advise me.
Thank you.

No, I can't see a death registration either.
His death may not have been registered.

Thanks Neale for looking. I wonder if it was common for deaths to go unregistered?

The Birth and Death Registration Act of 1874 made registration a necessity. Many slipped through the net before that.

Thanks elemtom,
I thought it became compulsory to register births, deaths and marriages in 1836.

The information for the geneanet.org entry is from familysearch and gives a burial date of 28/07/1845 in Kingston, Cambridgeshire.

Having looked on familysearch it leads to this image of the burial register:

Sorry, can only see burial details - no GRO info.
