James QUIN & Susanna O'NEILL
« on: Tuesday 02 May 23 22:33 BST (UK) »
Looking for more information on the family of these two. Baptism of Susanna is 24 July 1824 in Parish Clonfeacle Tyrone, Armagh Cty.  Parents Carolo O'Neill & Anna ?Haroran. Did this couple have other children? Their marriage and/or deaths, ages, etc
Susanna married James Quin 13 June 1844 in Parish Donaghmore, Tyrone County. Witnesses Terrance & Charles O'Neill (?brothers, uncles)
Baptism record for James Quin is 5 April 1821, Parish Confeacle Armagh Cty; parents Jas Quin & Mar+ (?Margaret) McCoy
James & Susannah immigrated within a few years after marriage as I find them in New York with their first two children (born USA 1848 & 1849). So I am looking for immigration/sailing info.

There is a Sarah O'Neill baptized 26 April 1825 to Carolo O'Neill & his wife Nelly in Clonfeacle parish. Sponsors are John O'Neill and Betty Haghian (sic).

The same couple baptized a son, Hugo, on 5 February 1822; witnesses are Tere (sic) Malone and Susanna McIver. In both cases, Nelly's maiden name is shown as DO (ditto) so assume O'Neill.

Not seeing a baptism for any other children of Carolo and Anna.

Disregard. See notes below.

Susanna married James Quin 13 June 1844 in Parish Donaghmore, Tyrone County. Witnesses Terrance & Charles O'Neill (?brothers, uncles)

It could be her father witnessing the marriage.  Second from the bottom of the same page looks like a marriage for Terrence O'NEILL to a Bridget QUINN, Charles O'NEILL also witnessed as well as Bernard O'NEILL.

Thanks Eileen Wilson for the marriage date of Carolo & Ann. What source can I put down for them? I wish I could make out the name on that child, baptized 1819. On the 1850 US census for James & Susanna, there is a "Neill" with them (age 33) & I can't make out that name there. It looks like Jeram?? Interesting that another Quinn & O'Neill married on same day, as James & Susannah, .wonder how all related!

From the Clonfeacle parish records:

I think child's name starts with a D so perhaps Daniel or David?

I think it starts with D also, but names of David or Daniel don’t follow in family naming. Thought dau at first, but ruled that out as didn’t expect that to be capitalized.
