Urquhar tand Hossack families from Cromarty and Resolis.

I am researching the family of  Lillias Stewart who was born in Tedious in 1759 .She married Donald Urquhart in 1780:in Cromarty .Not sure if she is has the same parents as the Lillian Stewart I have in my family. Thanks for any  help.

There is no such place as "Tedious"! However, it looks as if you are talking about Lillias Stewart, daughter of Charles Stewart, ground officer (i.e., essentially "estate manager") at Balblair in the Parish of Resolis and his wife Janet Hossack. Lillias was baptised on 19 December 1759.

Yes it should.Have been Resolis   but predictive text spelt it wron. Thanks just needed confirmation that it was the correct lillias  Stewart that had married Donald Urquhart.Thanks again.

Yes he was a grounds officer at Gordon's Milk in Resolis.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

No, the term is ground officer, not grounds officer.
