having several relatives. buried under the ice stadium myself....this was formerly part of st Marys churchyard... I. can. imagine .it is possible that fisher gate or part. of it was owned by the church...I also have ancestor who was arrested. in a pub on fisher gate, I've. just realised.

I guess it could be possible that there was an employer on fisher gate who also let the premises be used as an address of convenience...but I thought the lace factories were situated nearer the church...aaah, did fisher. gate use to. be. a much longer road

or or or

I have absolutely no faith in. this idea at all, but. I'm going to. say it. anyway....if. they are particularly numerous in the middle to end. of this period, could it have anything to. do with the. First World War...were any. soldiers billeted. around fisher gate etc....just suggesting..
