I just want say I am so glad you survived the war years, Viktoria. It must have bee so hard on so many children like yourself to have to be uprooted. My Mother and sister went to stay with my Dad's Grandmother after local bombing. It must have been terrifying.
It has felt a tiring week. Last Sunday was a 12 hour shift followed by an early start so only five hours sleep inbetween. I find it hard not to continue feeling worn out after that kind of start.
Had bolt from the blue news this morning at Church as our newish Pastor has told us he is leaving but will stay on until July. I think he is going to do mission work abroad. It doesn't seem that long since he first came but if that is what he feels called to do then we must reconcile ourselves to his going. It sounds like he has really enjoyed being with us and will miss us. His sermons were always very good, always very uplifting. We will miss him too; it is all very unexpected.
I've finally got around to having a go at the Coronation quiche this afternoon. Only a week behind the official celebration.
I will try to attach photos.
SiL is coming tomorrow so I will offer her some. I'm not sure if she will eat it as she might object to the tarragon but we'll see.
I had some at tea time and I really liked it. This is a recipe I will keep and make again. Thank you King Charles!
That's good that you got your diary done Caroline for Mass Obs; that's another thing I still have to catch up with.
Good too that you got your gardening done LM. I got all my grass cut before a back shift through the week when it was sunny. I had to force myself to do it as I felt so tired. You have to take advantage when weather is good. We've just had a real downpour this afternoon.
