Hi everyone, I'm looking for information on John Carter's birth or possible baptism.
I have two different years of birth 1834 (from arrival to Aust info) and 1836 (on grave marker).
I have information that he was born in ANT NIR - guessing Antrim, Northern Ireland, but unclear on whether that's the county or town.
His father is Robert Carter, but don't know mother's name. He arrived in Aust in 1856 on Truro ship and married Johanna "Ann" Condon in 1858. They were married in a Catholic Church. He died in Crystal Brook, Aust on 14th July 1915.
Middle initial is referenced as "C" in one document only - ship arrival notice in paper.
I would be very grateful for any information about John's father Robert, or to find out John's mother's name or to confirm his birth year.
