I have found the death record for his father in Victoria, it's just down the road 500kms.

In 1877 Sarah has a child James Stewart Trigg, no father listed. Born in Ardwick, (birth certificate shown on another tree).
So most likely Henry John Trigg not the father. Probably John Charnock.
