Agnes Collins born c1854 Bradford/Leeds
« on: Saturday 13 May 23 22:53 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find her parents.

I have her with mum Mary (c1825 Dublin Ireland), sister Mary Ann (1851 Leeds) and brother John (c1856 Leeds) in 1861 in the Workhouse at St Luke's, Whitecross Street, Middlesex. Mary is married, rather than widowed.

In 1871 the four of them are in Kensington. Mary is still married but Agnes and her sister are born in Bradford.

In 1881 Agnes is married to William (also a Collins) and living with him and son William in Kensington. GRO has William junior MMN as Collins. Their marriage was 1873 in Kensington.

I have her in 1891 and 1901 too.

Just can't find her parents other than mother is Mary born c1825 in Dublin .

Does the 1873 marriage cert name a father?

Good point. Doing this tree for free for a friend and have already sent for her daughter's marriage cert as I was confused and annoyed that I couldn't get further. Don't really want to send for another. It was a Catholic marriage, so it's quite possible that hers was too.

Agnes' daughter, not the friend's daughter 🤪
