Thank you Shelly.  Interesting that he applied for a US passport in 1916. He entered the States in 1914 with his 4 children & only his 2 sons returned to England in 1916.  They are on the passenger list, so maybe Thomas was onboard as crew.  Not sure when passports became a requirement for entry to UK or US.
