Is there anywhere where I could get army information of a Mossley Man  Harry[Harold] Green. All I know is that he was a son of William Green and Lena [Bottomley Schofield] of 57 Lorne Street. He was born in 1911  and had a son Terence Green a motor mechanic of 37 Cheshire Street[1950's] Any help much appreciated I believed he served in WW2

What kind of information are you looking for re Harry? Is it his military record?

Do you mean the son was born in the 1950s or living at that address in the 1950s?

If the son is still alive, or you don’t know that information, you should not post his name on here. We are asked not to do that.

Added
Harry was registered as Harry not Harold with mmn Schofield.

Harry Green was my mum's cousin and has certainly been  my brick wall. The last I found records of him were on the 1921 and then he disappears.I have been told he served in WW2 but no info on his regiment etc. His son was named on Harry's mother's will [Lena Green nee Bottomley Schofield] in 1959 as executor so I am assuming he would have had  to have been at least 21 in 1959  .I am trying to tie up loose ends but am having to go through many routes hopefully to eventually to find info on him

Many thanks

Where did you get the name Terence Green as executor on Lena's will?

Executor was Kenneth Green - motor mechanic

Have you downloaded a copy to determine Kenneth's relationship to Lena?

Sorry everyone it is Kenneth not Terence must be losing the plot! I have downloaded Lena's will and it stated that Kenneth was her only grandson and lived at 37 Cheshire Street.Everything had been left to him except a small token to Lena's sister Florence Price.Harry's father also died in 1959 but had made a will in it he left £50 to Harry.
Many thanks

This gravestone for a Kenneth Green gives a birthdate of October 1932
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/219836818/kenneth-green

Free BMD shows 2 births in 1932 - March quarter and December quarter.
That one shows mmn Sharrocks. That birth is Stalybridge though.
You could check those records.

Was William known as William David? Here is a burial record for 1959.

Harry's father also died in 1959 but had made a will in it he left £50 to Harry.

Cheshire BMD shows these deaths for 1959
Lena Green - sub district Ashton u Lyne (Sept quarter from BMD)
William Green 80 yrs - sub district Ashton u Lyne (Sept quarter from BMD)
William David Green 78 yrs - sub district Mossley (March quarter  from BMD)

Lena and William probably died in hospital and presumably not buried in Mossley.
