If Mary Ann married 1877 then I doubt she was born in 1863 (making her 14!). Would be very unusual, but not impossible. She put herself as 'full age' on her marriage certificate, but obviously she could have lied about that. Nevertheless, I imagine a birth year of 1860 or earlier is more likely.

It is also important to keep in mind that she may have been illegitimate and so have made up a father. I have seen this time and time again, and it is often why certain ancestors are hard to trace...

Mary is listed as 19 at last birthday with a 3 year old, making her 16 at the time of birth, and around 15 at the time of marriage.

I completely understand what you are saying, but these documents contain information given by the person themselves. They don't actually have to prove it. I have just learnt from past experience that it is good to keep an open mind.

And even more oddly, the maiden surname for Mary Ann on the births of her children is Minnard/Minard:

The only sort-of explanation I can come up with is this marriage in Kilburn on 15 Mar 1862:

Askwith WILSON 20 Farmers Servant, Sessay, Father = William Wilson, Labourer
Ruth MAYNARD 20 Spinster, Wass, Father = Robert Maynard, Labourer
Witnesses: Elizabeth Maynard (X), John Wilson

Ruth signed, but Askwith signed X.

I don't see any sign of them after this
