To answer Carole's question: I am related to his 2nd wife, the actress Anna Carteret,
so he appears in the family tree and I like to record correct details.

I don't have a Twitbook account so I don't know how to contact Anna.

I suppose it's possible that the name of the place sounds a bit like Lisburn
and whoever set up the FindaGrave memorial jumped to conclusions.
For example, there's a Lisbaun in Co. Roscommon (but not near Carrick on Shannon).
The Irish word lios means ring fort, giving rise to many Lis- names.
Bagwell of Kilmore & Lisronagh, Co. Tipperary;  Beatty from Enniskillen;  Brown from Preston, Lancs.;  Burke of Ballydugan, Co. Galway;  Casement in the IoM and Co. Antrim;  Davison of Knockboy, Broughshane;  Frobisher;  Guillemard;  Harrison in Co. Antrim and Dublin;  Jones around Burton Pedwardine, Lincs.;  Lindesay of Loughry;  Newcomen of Camlagh, Co. Roscommon;  Shield;  Watson from Kidderminster;  Wilkinson from Leeds
