Per census records there's only one Eliza Jane born in Ripple circa 1872 - that's Eliza Jane Clarke.

India Office records show the marriage of an Eliza Jane Clarke to William Nicholl in Rangoon in the 1901-1905 period.

William's marriage record can be viewed on FindMyPast.

Married 30 March 1904 at the Methodist Episcopal church in Rangoon.

He was a conductor with the Indian Ordnance Department (this information is also revealed in the 1921 census re his former employment). Age 40. Father Robert.
