Hi, Everyone,
I'm really not confidently expecting anyone to come up with a definitive answer to my query...
So, an Estonian Mikhel MIHKELSON, b. 25-12-1899 in Suhhumi, and according to a website in the public domain, became an Estonian politician. In 1940 he apparently was working at the Supreme Soviet in Estonia.
However, according to family legend, he was "shot as a spy", on 13th September 1943 in Tobolsk (have seen a Tubelsk spelling), Russia.
Have no idea of the tide of war in Tobolsk in Sept 1943, or which side would have had him shot.
Any ideas or whispers on this, anyone?
Keith
