Yes, I suspected that “Nelson” might be another assumed name.

Any thoughts on the ‘Denise’ that has been written in on the 1939 Register? (matching the death registration of Mignon D Harman)

No I have been searching Denise, and can't see any significance or any leads

I have ordered the birth certificate for Minnie Harris and the death certificate for Mignon Harman.  .

I had a quick look to see if Clara had a sister in Wolverhampton in 1911, thinking that she might have gone there to have the baby, but apparently not. One single, also in service in London; the other married in Wales.

So why Wolverhampton?

She was born in Bromyard , Worcestershire. I believe there was a home for unmarried mother's in Wolverhampton, which is close. I thought she may have gone there and then found a service position in London after that.

Yes it's all there, unfortunately nothing can be tied up with this. I am from a branch of the Elgar family (distant ), trying to retrace this research. The Clara Harris I mention was the cook in Dr Nathaniel Bishop Harman's residence. I noticed she was born in Worcestershire. Probably just another coincidence
