No notification of replies

Recently I have to log in each time I want to use RootsChat ,it often refuses my password even though it is correct ,not a problem really more an annoyance.

It is now several weeks since I stopped receiving notifications and assumed the problem was my provider (AOL) as it also happened some years ago. 

I have been using the "New Replies" option & although it's a solution - I actually prefer to receive an email.  I have seen replies to several posts that were familiar to me but on access - find they are either ones I had already marked "unnotify" or ones I had read but not got involved with.

I choose not to have notifications but do as Erato suggests and just select unread posts and new replies when I log in.  Personal messages always flag up with a notification on screen when I log in.

Same here, I prefer it rather than emails.

Will now use "New Replies" but that doesn't explain why 2 PMs to Sarah went unanswered.

I am not receiving notification of replies.

I have done as Maddys52 suggests, and all seems to be in order, but, still, no notification!
