In trying to find more information about this family I have a couple of questions:

1.  What is a Tudbear Manufactory?
2.  Isn't it more likely that Charles Clark is a crofter or something else?

Thomas Clark was born in 1772, James in 1774, Charles in 1776, William in 1781.  Anne in 1770  My connection is through Isabel Clark about 1768.

Thanks.

Is it possibly Cudbear Manufactory?

Sorry I don't have a clue how to attach the link.

For Tudbear – see “Cudbear”. A type of fabric dye of violet / purple colour

“Cudbear Manufactory”

Thank you all for this info.

I had downloaded the Charles Clark will previously but was at a total loss as to what Tudbear Manufactory could mean or even if this Charles Clark was related or not.  Just curious to understand what it meant and find your explanations very helpful.

Thanks
