Hi,
Can anyone help me find any info on Dennis W Stanley, he was born 1923 in paddington, london,
His parents were charles joseph stanley and alice evelyn stanley ,I know that dennis wasnt brought up by his parents, as neither was his brother charles robert stanley, ,(he was brought up by his mothers family in norfolk) but im sure dennis wasnt, on the 1939 electoral roll his mother was at 36 st julian road, london, but without her husband and no children,and from what ive learnt dennis's father (who has a colourfull past ) wasnt around  , any help or any ideas of how i can find any info on dennis would be great,

GRO index normally shows middle names  . It also gives mothers maiden surname up to the early part of the 1900's

GRO online shows middle name William mmn Brigham.  Same mmn for Charles b 1920

Parents only married 1935

Yeah dennis's parents didnt marry till 1935, dennis's father charles joseph stanley was married previously to a rosa strattford , they were divorced in 1924, on my grandfathers birth certificate charles robert stanley born 1920 ,(whom was dennis's brother, ) states mothers name alice evelyn stanley formely brigham , even though they werent married till 15 years later.  confused

She was obviously known as 'Stanley'  and could call herself what she liked, it was not illegal
