Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 18th July 2023 from 7.30p.m. - 9.15p.m. (approx.)

ON-LINE SPEAKER is GILL BLANCHARD with a talk entitled ‘BEHIND THE SCENES OF WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE’.

Gill will take us through what goes on behind the scenes of WDYTYA as a researcher for the popular television show. She will particularly focus on her research for various episodes including Ed Balls, Jonnie Peacock and Mary Berry, as well as appearing on two episodes.

Gill Blanchard is a professional family history and house history researcher, writer and tutor. A full-time historical researcher since 1992, setting up her own business in 1997 and qualifying as an adult education tutor in 1998, a full member of AGRA and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Gill is the author of several research guides, biographies and local histories. She has conducted much background research for authors, journalists and academics as well as WDYTYA.

Dorset Family History Society Members who have consented to receive information by e-mail will find a meeting invitation link, and how to donate the £3 admission, in the E-News sent about 4 days before the meeting. Those who do not receive E-News, or who are not Society Members, are welcome to join this meeting and should follow the link on the website www.dorsetfhs.org.uk or email liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk to request an invitation link at least 6 hours before the meeting is due to start. Then the log in will be from 7.15pm on the night.
