Burt family of Weymss

I am trying to trace the parents or any information for John Burt abt 1716 who married Margaret Salmond I have a lot of information on his familly moving forward but cannot trace who his parents were ,He is my 5x great grandfather and would like to take his line back further.

Do you have the marriage certificate? On Scotland's People I see that they married 30 Dec 1742 (ref 50/303) Weymss. Though there is also a John BURT and Margaret SALMOND same date (ref 50/13) Dysart, which is a bit confusing. Were banns called in both places maybe?

These are the children of John BURT and Margaret SALMOND at Weymss:
1745  Elspeth

1754  Janet

1760  Isabel

There is also Margaret BURT dau of John BURT and Margaret SALMOND born 1743 Dysart - presume this is the same family?

Margaret's parents most likely David SALMOND and Elspeth BANES (BAINS)

There are a couple of options for a John BURT baptism at Weymss, but these don't seem to fit the naming pattern  :

13 Feb 1709  John BURT son of George BURT and Margaret LAW (20/163)
