In the 1939 register there is a Joseph Edward Davies dob 2/6/1902 in Bishopsgate Police Station. The original entry has 'O' for officer in the OVSPI column, and “police constable”  in the occupation column, but the 'O' has been corrected to 'I' for inmate.
